The Rogue’s POV
“Alpha Kade really should fix this wall,” the rogue muttered as he slipped between the broken stones. “Anyone could get in.”
His accomplice rolled his eyes. “Don’t be cocky. You remember what happened last time you acted too full of yourself?”
The rogue smirked. “How could I forget spending a week in that prison cell? It was the best week of my life—three free meals a day, a cot to sleep on, and a roof over my head.”
“Just… hurry up. I won’t wait all night.”
Nodding, the rogue slipped into Crescent Hollow territory. The sun was still high in the sky, forcing him to stick to the shadows along the wall. He kept his hood up and his head down, but his feet moved steadily and with confidence.
