Elena’s POV Kade thrust me into the study so hard that I nearly fell. I caught myself against the armchair by the fireplace and whirled around, lip curling to reveal partially extended fangs, and grabbed my knife from my belt. “Touch me again, and you’ll lose an eye,” I snarled with a confidence that I didn’t know I had. Kade looked completely unfazed. He simply locked the door behind him and turned to me with his arms folded across his chest. “You can certainly try,” he said with unnerving calmness. “But it won’t end well for you.
