Elena’s POV
“Both of us?” Serena looked like Kade had just slapped her across the face when he suggested that we take turns caring for Ivy. “What are you talking about, Kade?”
I didn’t show it, but I was just as shocked as she was. But after considering for a moment, I realize that this felt like one of Kade’s little tests. It seemed to me like he was toying with us, trying to see which one of us would crack first. He was trying to see which one would make a better Luna—and perhaps a better mother for Ivy.
At first, I wondered whether he was doing it for pure amusement or genuine concern for Ivy. The man I knew seemed to only do such things for amusement and cruelty. The man I had seen multiple times today, however, the one who cared about his family… I wasn’t so sure about him.
