Diana sighs as she enters her bedroom. It's been a challenging week for her both at work and in school. Ever since finding out about Nicholas's shady side, she has fired him as his assistant which wasn't a problem at all to him because he just resumed his work at his original position in the company. It's been hectic for her on the other hand but she's not one to be easily fazed. She also refused his help in her studies so that has been tough too but she was actually excited to learn more on her own.
It's been physically and intellectually exhausting but nightly video calls with Jacob, who is back in the Southern Metro, never fails to invigorate her spirit. He was usually the one who initiates the call but today has been particularly tedious and she can't wait anymore.
