Diana sits beside her mother's bed in the hospital emergency room, holding her frail hand. Maria has been unconscious for half an hour but all the doctors and the tests they ordered say there's nothing serious to be worried about. She's just stressed out and needs some rest. More tests are asked to be done by the doctor anyway to be sure.
To avoid any more stress for Maria, they decided to have only one person to stay by her bedside. There was no question who it should be. Diana stayed with her mother while Samuel waited outside by the nurses station. Leaving her with a reassuring hug, Jacob said he will be waiting in the lobby.
"Mom..." Diana sobs softly. "I'm sorry, Mom. Please wake up. Your Didi is waiting for you to wake up, Mom." She holds her mother's hand tighter and kisses it. S
