"What did you just say?" I asked with wide eyes as soon as I heard Lewis's response to my question.
Since he and I weren't particularly close, and I had no obligation to be friendly towards him, I went straight to the point and asked him what he wanted from me, and he ended up saying the last thing I expected him to say.
