Haven’s POV
Alden called more than five times, and I did my best to ignore his calls. He honked his car horn until Rayna got pissed and decided to talk to him, as he was disturbing the neighborhood, but I held her down, because that was probably what he wanted and was doing that.
“You think he doesn't know he's making a hell of a noise?” I asked her, and she blew out hot air.
Hera added, “If it gets beyond control, one of your neighbors will surely come out to scold him and kick him out.”
“Sure! We should wait until he's out, so we can go get Hera's belongings.” I said and lay back on the floor.
“No need to follow me. I can get it myself.”
“That i***t might try to hold you back. Or you wanna make up with him?” Rayna snapped, her eyes burning red in anger.
Hera shook her head, “To be honest, I was fed up for a long time and was just scared that I wouldn't find another man if I left him. But now that I think of it, if Haven broke up with his man regardless of whether he is the prime minister's son, then why wouldn't I break up with that dickhead that's adding no benefit to my life?”
“Now you're talking like a sensible person. Not those days that you try to defend him whenever I complain about his stupidity.” Rayna steupsed and got seated back on the sofa, grabbed her pillow, and stretched her legs until they nearly touched my body. “So we three are now single? Doesn't look good, but I think ourselves matter much more than f*****g relationships.”
Rayna got dumped by his man a long time ago, and since then she lost interest in anything relationship, yet wished us well all the time. Now we three are in the same league; all single and not damn searching, because someone like me has a long life to put together than beginning to love a man that would drill me and see me as nothing.
Almost an hour later, Rayna checked, and Alden happened to have left.
How stupid of him to think that being the prime minister's son meant that he could do with anyone what he wanted. His brother was the President of the Salvation Riders MC, and he was the one who just helped me without asking for anything in return. Whereas Alden had never granted me a wish without asking for something in return.
I also did whatever he wanted from the depths of my heart, yet he doesn't see that part of me.
Thinking of it now, I was more stupid than Hera, because I also saw the signs and didn't leave one time until I saw wonders. The only difference was that Hera got physically abused too, unlike me.
That fateful day ended with Hera packing in to stay with us too. Now, we were three adults in a self-contained apartment, and I hoped we would get along without having all those girly issues.

“It's your first day at work in a new environment. I wish you good luck.” Rayna said as she picked up her handbag. “Want to drop me off? Hera's packaging stuff for her clients and would need to send it off soon.”
I glanced at Hera, who was busy with her earbud on while dealing with the goods she was sending forth for her clients.
What I loved most? We all got something doing and had never relied on our men as other girls did, yet we always got ditched. That f*****g sister of mine that got f****d by my ex was a student and refused to work part-time, rather to club and squander the upkeep money sent to her, and I was sure she billed Alden too, and he gave. Whereas he never gave me a thing, even though I didn't ask.
“Hera, do you know the passcode now?” I asked her, and she nodded. “Then we should start going. I'll be a bit late, remember how I work.”
But Rayna shook her head, “Maybe I should tell the Prez not to let you work overtime. Now that you're there and not fighting to leave somewhere else, what about you stop overworking?”
She was making sense too.
I overworked because I needed to save up and leave my dad's workshop. Now that I'm gone, I should take care of myself.
“Fine, let's now go.” I patted Rayna's shoulder, and we left together. I rode her to her office before heading to my workshop. There, my apprentices had already arrived, waiting for me there.
I alighted from my bike and hurried to open the workshop so we could all get to work.
“Would love to know what happened, but who am I to question my boss?” one of them said, and I ignored him.
“Me too, but I think I like it here more than there.”
“It's more spacious than the first place.”
Once I opened the door, I turned around and clapped my hands to draw their attention. “Be nice to our customers.”
“Yes, Ma’am!” They chorused and immediately began changing up so we could get straight to what the day held. I shared amongst them whatever task they would take care of, and then I focused on mine.
I worked nonstop till noon, hoping to take a break in an hour. But a car rode into the compound and stopped, and I stood up to see what was going on. The car didn't look familiar, but it looked costly and brand new too.
The door flung wide, and Alden stepped out, dressed as though he were heading to a conference or so. My fingers tightened around the spanner I was holding, and I tried my best not to burst in anger when he had done or said nothing.
He approached, his expression unpredictable. “This place looks better, but not a nice option.”
“And how is that your business? Did I invite you over?”
“I don't need to be invited,” he responded, getting closer to me. “I came because as I'm leaving, I'm taking you with me.”
I scoffed. This dude won't stop amazing me.
“What's funny? Did you think you could just break up with me that way? Haven, we are getting married soon and nothing changes…
“And I ended it already, or didn't you understand? We aren't married, so you don't need to sign anything before it's finalised that we are done.” I cut him short, while he stared with his lips hanging midway. “Look, Alden, I'm not in the mood to rant with you. Just take the same way out and never return here again.”
He shook his head, “Unfortunately, I came here with my guards, so your strength ain't saving you right now. I'm leaving here with you, because you must have nothing to do with another, talk about that mistake of a brother that I have.”
God! I wanted to stab him for calling the man who helped me a mistake. Wasn't he the mistake here?
“Just go! Circumstances brought me here, and I'm never leaving. You must know what organisation owns this workshop, so just go.” I yelled at his face, because heaven knew how much I didn't want to act violently towards him.
But he was a dickhead and was testing my anger. He drew closer and grabbed me by my hands, pulling me with him towards his car.
“Alden, I'm going to hurt you if you don't leave me right now.” I screeched at him, but he didn't give a damn. I was ready to smack his wrist with the spanner I was holding when a bike rode into the compound.
His brother!
He looked like a demon right now, like he was going to tear Alden apart.
