Chapter 6

Haven’s POV When I saw the motorcycle that rode into the workshop compound, I had a lot going on in my mind. I didn't like it when I couldn't work for someone, so I was trying to make up a lie that I would tell whoever it was so they don't think I wasn't serious with my work. Not until the biker got off his helmet did my lips drop open in shock. He took my contact number, and then suggested their club workshop that I could stay in. At that moment, there was no room for making too many choices. Provided the workshop was situated in a place where I could get customers and make my money peacefully, then I was okay with that. The workshop where I had my training was so good, which was why I chose this place among all the other workshops my dad showed me. Soon, the men he came with brought out everything, and I also confirmed they didn't leave behind any important work tools too, before my dad finally locked up his workshop, ranting as he'd always done, giving me options to apologise to his favorite daughter and my ex who was supposed to go to hell, but I didn't have time for that. Even if the biker didn't offer to help, I wasn't going to do it. “Look, Haven, I have a time frame to be here and would lock you up in this place while leaving if you wouldn't fasten up and get away,” he yelled, and I sneered at him. If I didn't take some of his looks, I wouldn't believe that he was my dad, with the drama he was acting up for me here. I glanced at Rayna, and she was sitting on my bike, staring at what was unfolding before her. Somehow it was good that she witnessed it herself, because she always doubted that my dad was that way each time I complained. When I heard the loud sound of a truck, I rushed to the little gate and widened it so they could drive into the compound. On the body of the vehicle was written the club name boldly, and somehow, I was beginning to fall in love with these people. My dad approached once he saw the truck; his face contorted. He pointed at the first biker who had been there and asked violently, "What's the meaning of this? Why on earth will a biker be here when I have no business with you all?” I knew he was so disappointed that I didn't act as he thought and was rather getting help from an organisation he knew could take care of me behind his back. “Pack everything into the truck,” the biker president ordered, and they all chorused ‘Yes Prez!’ before getting to work. I only stood at the side watching as they handled everything carefully like it was a baby, loading them all into the truck one after the other. Butterflies in my belly flapped their wings together as I joyfully watched. Thank God I went to that party, or I wouldn't get this instant help. At least, the truck was free so I didn't need to pay for that either. “Babe,” I heard Rayna mention behind me, so I walked to where she was. “How about your properties at home? When will you go to take them? I would also advise you to go with that biker so that your dad wouldn't do anything stupid to you.” She whispered the last statement, and I nodded. “Then, it should be after I arrange those in the workshop he wants to give me; I can then talk to him about following me. Since he's seen the kinda dad I have, I think he will accept to follow me.” I responded, and Rayna breathed out like something troubling her had been taken care of. “Did you notice he has the same looks as Alden? I've been thinking if they are brothers. Rayna licked her lips. “They are brothers, but the biker is the illegitimate son of their father. Rumor has it he was born from an affair. I don't know why he became a biker, but just like their father is the prime minister of the state, his club owns this town; they developed it,” she explained, and I took a long look at the biker president. He has a better physique than his brother, and doesn't look proud either. His softness would make one not believe he was a biker president. But one thing I was sure of was that he wouldn't be any different from his brother, so it was better I stopped thinking so much about him, who would just dump me faster than his brother even did. He was only helping me, and I would still pay for the workshop. “Isn't that your sister?” Rayna tapped my shoulder, and I shuddered. I looked intently, and it was indeed her walking into the compound with her driver behind her. “What could she be doing here? She lied that you beat her up.” “Maybe I should do that now… “No!” She held my hand. “Don't worsen the matter on the ground and prove to your dad that you're what he thinks.” I breathed out, “So, she's probably here to confirm if indeed I was leaving.” “Her loss!” Rayna snapped and stuepsed. “Look, they are done.” Jesus! I couldn't believe it at first, so I got closer to take a closer look at the floor even when the sky had brightened it, and I was seeing clearly. I smiled widely and turned to them, “Thank you so much,” and they all waved their hands at me. “Haven,” Eve called out when she noticed I was paying less attention to her. “You're leaving instead of coming to apologise? Do you really hate us that much?” I took a good look at her and turned around towards my dad, who was still standing at that same place. “I am done, so lock up everywhere once I leave. Also, I'll take my belongings from home soon.” “You could go take it now. Is it much?” The biker president drew my attention. “It doesn't make sense stretching it, because you will be busy arranging all those. If you don't mind, I could call my men to come with a car.” Oh my God! “Major? What are you doing here?” Eve asked, and I didn't expect her to know this man right here. The fake pitiful look she always wore finally crossed her face, and she tightened her grip on the side of her dress. “It's not what you think, Major. My sister has never been good, so you helping her would fire back at you just like my dad right now.” My goodness! I shouldn't be too shocked that Eve was acting like this, but I wanted to understand what was with her. How come she knew the two brothers, and I didn't when I was the one dating Alden? And wait, what was her aim right now? To shift the man's attention away from helping me? “She beat me up because I told her the truth about treating your brother right. I nearly died, and she doesn't care yet wants to leave as if nothing happened.” I couldn't believe this b***h was already sobbing. I glanced at my dad, and he was busy nodding repeatedly to what this wench said. Rayna's lips dropped open in shock, and blood already drained from her face. She looked so furious right now. And then the Major, or whatever he was; his palms were in his pockets, and I hated that he was paying attention to this b***h already.
