Chapter 7

1132 Words
Major’s POV The audacity of this woman to shed fake tears before me as if I didn't know anything about her family and her half-sister. I knew she'd been sleeping with her sister's boyfriend, and now she was claiming to be the victim. My club is the only family I had full right to speak and discuss matters concerning it without a flinch, so I had nothing to say to her as she wanted. She even knew I was Alden's brother and even my nickname when her sister, who dated Alden, could still be contemplating. Turning away from her, I put a call through to my VP once again. “If you can be out with a car, then I'd like it most. Otherwise, have one of the enforcers be here immediately.” I said to him and hung up the call, then turned to Haven, who had been staring at me as though trying to get into my heart and know what I was up to before her sister. “Shouldn't we leave so your dad can lock up the gate? We are done here.” She breathed out and ran her fingers through her hair, “Babes…” She called her friend, then shot her sister a heavy glare before moving towards the gate. “Who's driving the truck?” “They are all in it already. Just open the gate.” I said to her, and she nodded. I took a glance at her sister and said nothing to her, but just watched until the truck was driven out of the compound. Haven returned and suggested that we troll our bikes out of the compound too, so we did that, and her father locked up the gate. “She's a b***h! I can't even call her a sister in public,” she cursed under her breath, sitting on her bike and her friend leaning beside her while we watched her dad lock up the door as they came out. If I didn't see this with both my eyes, I wouldn't believe that the man would have the might to kick her daughter out for a reason not genuine. Should he be worried since Alden had picked the younger sister? No matter how much he disliked his daughter, I didn't think it was right to send her out this way. And that sister of hers was even useless. She was a student indeed, but didn't look like someone who would make a living with her knowledge. It didn't take time for my VP to arrive, and we drove all together to Haven's residence to pack all her belongings. Her properties weren't that much, so they all fit in the car at once. “How am I going to do it? I need to arrange everything,” she said, scratching her head. “Those loads shouldn't be in the truck for a long time.” “Then, I should follow the VP to my house and offload all these myself, while you follow Prez to your workshop and arrange your work tools. I think the work tools are more important so you can start working by tomorrow, at least,” her friend suggested, and she kept nodding continuously. “So, I should be going now.” She blew Haven a kiss and got into the car with my VP. Haven sighed out loud and waved the car goodbye until it vanished from her sight; then she pulled out her cell phone and checked the time. “The time is running faster today because I have a lot to do.” She shook her head and put it back, then said to me, “We should start going too.” I licked my lips because I wouldn't deny the fact I loved how her lips twitched while she spoke. She blinked so much as though dodging a fly every second, and that even made her more beautiful. Her long hair had been curled up, and now it looked somewhat short and dropped on her shoulders. We climbed onto our bikes, and the moment she was about to put on her helmet, the loud sound of the door caused us to freeze. Her stepmom walked out and marched towards her, piquing my interest to know what exactly could have brought her out. Instead, she sneered at her and shook her head, “I hope you are not planning to return here after leaving? Just so you know that I won't take you the second time.” Haven nodded, “I know you won't take me in, because it took a whole three months before you agreed that I would come over to stay with my dad.” “Exactly!” the woman tightened her jaw. “I can't stand being scared anymore in my home because of your witchcraft. You know how much I pray all night so you don't kill me the same way you did to your mum?” Fuck! What was the meaning of that? Who the f**k said she killed her mum? I found out from Kaden back when she was still an apprentice that her mum gave up the ghost after birthing her. So how could a child not up to a day old have witchcraft and even think of… Oh Jesus! What kind of family does this lady have? Bringing back to her the memories of her not having a mother figure could trigger her tears. “I warned you several times not to ever mention my mum or that I murdered her. The next time you say this, I wouldn't mind the fact that you're married to my dad and beat you up until you pass out.” Haven retorted and started her bike, but her tone of voice had already changed. “f**k you to think I can't live a good life without you and my dad. Tell my dad to disown me if he thinks I'm too evil to be tagged as his daughter,” she added and put on her helmet. My chest was about to explode in anger, staring at the woman wearing a sinister smile. She intentionally wanted to trigger her the last time before she left, and I pray earnestly that nothing would ever bring back Haven here, or she would be a laughing stock. She wasn't even a liability and could help in the family when she's fully balanced, yet they make it look like she was a burden to them. I started my bike as well, wore my helmet, and twisted the throttle so much that the woman's expression twisted due to the heavy sound of my bike. “Let's go!” I raised my helmet a bit and said to Haven before zooming off the filthy compound.
