Major’s POV
Just a few minutes later, I was parked in front of my mum's apartment. Before I could even alight, she was already out of the building for someone who knew the sound of her son's bike. “Mum!” I called out, my face beaming with smiles. “Did we arrive late?” I asked her, but I noticed her gaze wasn't on me, so I had to follow it, and it was on Haven.
The only thing on my mind was that she thought we were a couple, because she had always pestered me to get a lady and give her a grandchild.
When both hugged each other, I flinched from their loud excitement. It was stunning because the laughter on their faces and the way they were chatting, as though I weren't with them, made it look like they'd known each other for a long time.
