The Marriage Contract

Xin Li sat on the chair next to Bushen holding her breathe. She did remember the contract but she was not yet married.

She had not even signed it yet..

They had to be together and whenever Bushen found his mate, she would leave..

“ I am not yet bound to you by law, just by my parents wishes.”

Bushens eye brows narrowed, did she just speak back at him.

She was indeed learning new things.

Bushen knew he had to wait till she was eighteen before she was old enough to sign the papers but he could tolerate the way men stared.

“ So you admit that you are seeing some other man.” Xin Li lifted her head forcefully almost hurting her neck.

When did she say that, he was trying to trap her so her father would punish her again.

Xin Lis father was paralyzed but that did not stop him from thrashing her.

“ Just imagine how your father would feel when I throw him out of the house; my house.”

Mr Bushen spat arrogantly making Xin Li shiver.

They had no where else to go and Bushen would not let her work any where else.

“ Seeing you with that janitor has angered me you will have to please me now.”

Xin Li braced her self for the worst.

Bushen kissed her lips roughly while biting her.

After which he pushed her out of his office.

Xin Lis father Jain was a faithful servant to Bushens late father.

His loyalty earned him an irrevocable title as the son in law.

In other to honour his parents death, Bushen made up his mind to get married to Xin Li.

To him love did not matter at all just a sons duty towards his parents.

Xin Li wiped the tears off her eyes and off her lips.

“Why is a beautiful and delicate girl like you sitting here all alone.” A stranger asked Xin Li as she tried to have lunch during break time.

The girl sat quietly ignoring the stranger.

There was nothing she would not do to escape Bushens verbal bullying.

“ Playing hard to get, I see where this is going.” The young man drew the chair extremely close to Xin Li she stood up and walked away.

Bushen smiled as he watched her from the CCTV footage.

He only had the right to her and no one else.

He heard a knock on the door, and a woman came in dressed seductively.

Bushen had sent for her.

Xin Li was a naive girl and could not please him the way he wanted.

He called Xin Li with his phone into the office, after locking the doors he asked her to sit close to him.

The other lady felt embarrassed..

“Today I asked you to please me, and you just sat there like a villager.

Now watch and maybe you could learn a thing or two.”

Xin Li felt embarrassed and insulted , was this who he thought she was.

As she sat watching her so called husband kiss the stranger.

Her blood boiled within her.

This was not how she wanted to live or be known for.

She sat up and left the office.

“ From this moment on I will no longer tolerate your abuse.”

Xin Li said assuring herself.

She stepped out and saw the new janitor doing his job sadly.

She felt pity in her heart towards him.

“ Oh you again.” Xavier called out to her but she walked away ignoring him.

Xavier watched her in confusion. He felt someone touch him from behind.

“ You do not want to go to close to her, she is Mr Bushens future wife no one but him owns her understand.”

Wang dusted his hands and walked away feeling proud.

Xavier stood frozen in a spot, he never thought the man he admired so much could be so evil.

How ever he still admired him and wanted to be as wealthy as he is.

But he would not let that poor lady look gloomy all the time.

He was attracted to her and nothing will stop him.

Xavier left his duty and ran after Xin Li.

“ My Lady, My Lady..” Xavier called out panting.

Xin Li turned towards him.

“Did you not learn anything earlier, I am bound to him stay away or you will get hurt.”

Xin Li turned and headed towards the car, the scene in the office was enough to drive her away.

She sat in the car pouting her lips and sobbing.

The thought of another woman kissing her future husband stung in her thoughts.

“Why do you care, he does not care about you. So you should not care about him.

Don't waste your tears Xin Li.”

Xin Li spoke to herself and wiped her tears, she opened the door of the Lamborghini and slammed it.

The driver watched her with pity in his eyes and heart.

“ I will take you home madam and come back later to pick sir.” The driver offered.

“ No that's alright, I will wait here till he's done with work.”

As Xavier walked back into the wide splendid halls.

The gossip of two beautiful ladies spread into his eyes like wild fire.

“I wonder what he sees in her?.”

“ You are right, she has no class, no fashion sense.

I mean look at what she is wearing.”

“I heard her father was Bushens father's servant.”

“ Oh.. no wonder he seems unhappy who would be with such a simpleton.”

The ladies murmured and laughed among themselves.

It touched Xavier's heart.

It dawned on him that the lady was really alone in the huge arena.

Xavier shook his head he would go and report this to Master Bushen he was sure he will get those ladies fired.

As Xavier got close to the office a lady came out dressed seductively.

The lady passed her card to Xavier.

“Call me anytime.” She winked at him.

Xavier felt a chill run down his spine.

Still he opened the door and saw Bushen adjusting his belt.

As soon as Bushens gaze fell on him.

The look in his eyes darkened.

“Speak of the devil.” Bushen murmured in his heart.
