The morning sun bathed the lake house in a golden glow as Hannah stood before the mirror, smoothing the fabric of her wedding dress. Today was the day she would marry the man who had changed her life in ways she never imagined. Butterflies fluttered in her stomach, a mixture of excitement and nerves. A gentle knock on the door pulled her from her thoughts. "Come in," she called. Maxine entered, her eyes shimmering with unshed tears. "Oh, sweetheart, you look absolutely breathtaking." Hannah smiled, turning to face her. "Thank you, Momma. I still can't believe this is happening." Maxine cupped her face gently. "Believe it, darling. You deserve every bit of happiness today brings." Just then, Hannah’s closest friends entered, their faces lighting up at the sight of her. "You are the most beautiful bride I’ve ever seen!" one of them gushed, wrapping her in a tight hug. A few miles away, Jim stood at the altar, adjusting his cuffs nervously. His father clapped a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "Relax, son. She loves you." Jim let out a deep breath, nodding. "I know. I just want everything to be perfect for her." As the ceremony began, soft music filled the air, and all eyes turned toward the aisle. Hannah appeared, her arm looped through Maxine’s as she walked forward with grace and confidence. Jim’s breath hitched at the sight of her; she was radiant. Tears pricked at Hannah’s eyes as she met Jim’s gaze. Every pain, every heartbreak, had led her to this moment. She had found her home in him. The officiant began, "We are gathered here today to celebrate the love of Jim and Hannah..." As they exchanged vows, their voices were filled with emotion. "Hannah, from the moment you entered my life, I knew you were special. I promise to love you, cherish you, and stand by your side through all of life’s joys and challenges." Hannah smiled, her voice steady. "Jim, you taught me to trust again, to love without fear. I promise to be your partner, your best friend, and to love you endlessly." The moment the officiant announced, "You may now kiss the bride," Jim pulled her close, pressing a passionate kiss to her lips. The guests erupted in cheers and applause. --- The reception was filled with laughter and joy. As the newlyweds shared their first dance, Hannah rested her head against Jim’s chest, savoring the moment. "Happy?" Jim whispered. Hannah looked up, love shining in her eyes. "More than I ever thought possible." Jim tightened his hold on her. "This is just the beginning, my love." The night stretched on with endless toasts and heartfelt speeches. Maxine stood, raising her glass. "To my dearest daughter and her wonderful husband—may your love only grow stronger with each passing day." Tears welled in Hannah’s eyes as she embraced Maxine. "Thank you for everything, Momma. I wouldn’t be here without you." As the celebration continued, Jim pulled Hannah aside. "Come with me," he whispered, leading her out onto the garden terrace where the sky was littered with stars. They stood in silence for a moment, the cool night air wrapping around them. Hannah sighed contentedly. "It’s perfect." Jim pulled her close, resting his forehead against hers. "You make everything perfect." A sudden burst of fireworks lit up the night, dazzling colors reflected in Hannah’s eyes. "Jim, did you plan this?" He grinned. "Maybe.
