Chapter 20 : Fight.

Alicia was still moving around freely, her movements were unfettered. It seemed that she still hadn't used her full strength yet.

Kris and his group's main focus was only Alicia, seeing her Marie and the others brows deepened. Marie always had thought hard work could overcome talent, but now in her eyes, it seemed that wasn't the case.

There was no way to overcome talent with just hardwork. Alicia was the prime example, she didn't need any mana potions to replenish her mana reservation, her own was enough to compete in battle. Her strength was in a league above others, why is that? It's because her dual element, allowing her to use various types of spell which enemy couldn't predict and fall victim. She did perfect mastery over all aspects like close ranged spells and long ranged spells. She didn't need to do any hardwork to increase her battle strength, for her everything happened naturally. In contrast to Alicia, Marie had to put countless efforts just to increase her battle strength. She worked day and night to elevate her spell efficiency rate but compared to Alicia it was far from enough.

" Do i have to live in others shadow all my life? This is so unfair. "

Marie felt a little complicated in her heart.

She looked at Kris only to see him smiling faintly. Marie felt that at the moment Kris was very mysterious.

" Where does his confidence come from? How could he know so much? Is he a hidden spy from another noble family or the eyes and ears of the royals!

Maybe he is just pretending and hiding his strength, that's why he is so confident. "

Kris's attitude and actions these past few days made Marie doubt about his identity.

At the moment while Marie was thinking, Kris spoke in a deep tone.

" Stall Alicia for me. "

" But..." Marie wanted to say something but Kris decisively dashed forward.

Kris nimbly avoided the crows, moving toward the four group members. He activated a few fire type spells silently.

Before, Kris had killed a fire affinity magician. Using an ancient method, he integrated the magicians core with his black mana core. This method created a significant change in his mana core.

Element's are the gifts of nature for all living beings. Mana cores are the key to use the elements and mana is the door which allowed all the races of this world to enjoy the glamorous world of Magic.

Now his black mana core could also manipulate fire elements. It was like a key that could open two locks.

A student from Alicia's group was fighting two spike winged crow, she was very busy dealing with the crows that she hadn't realize that someone snuck up on her. She felt something and instinctively tried moving left but it was too late.

She was blown away and her whole body was covered in fire. With this she attracted the attention from the spike winged crows, more crows flew at her, relentlessly attacking her. All this time Alicia had been busy taking all the crows attention toward her but now the crows split up in many groups.

The girl didn't had the time to recover as more and more crows fiercely stabbed at her with those razor sharp spikes.

Kris was exposed at the moment, the other three members looked at him with hatred.

They recognized Kris instantly, he was one of the most hated commoner, if not for the school rules restricting them, they would have long been tortured him to death.

" You..you...how dare you...!"

" Commoner you deserve death !"

" Kill him for me..."

They abandoned their formation and gave chase. Kris also didn't run as he dashed forward and directly clashed against the three head on.

" Hehehe, so bold. "

" Look he's moving toward us. "

The three of them felt weird and glad at the same time, it means they wouldn't have to chase Kris amidst so many spike winged crows

" He thinks he could take all of us alone. " Joseph sneered.

Kris was only a few meters away, before he could move anywhere, three different type of spells were unleashed at him.

Anyone would try to dodge at this situation but Kris boldly moved forward.

" This kid is seeking his own doom. " They thought even if Kris try to dodge or avoid it was too late and the power of the three spells weren't weak at all. Someone like Kris shouldn't have any heavy defensive spell, fire affinity magicians weren't much good in defense anyway.

But contrary to their expectation Kris moved forward without avoiding.

" Flame prison. " Kris murmured softly.

A fiery wall of flame covered his whole body instantly. A deafening sound echoed as Kris was hit by the three; ice, lightning and wind elemental spells.

The three students thought even if he didn't die, he'll surly be heavily injured.
