880 Words
The next day,  8:05.㏂. MORGAN MILTON.          The sky was blue, the air was clear as i  jogged round the neighborhood. I got a lot of weird stares from people as i jogged i guess they were kind of surprised to see my face as i don't socialise much.     My mind drifted to the 5ft9n trouble in the room across the hallway from me. I thought I've seen the last of her that night at the hotel, guess i was wrong. Its called fate. My conscience said as i stopped jogging calling my driver, Nate, to come pick me up.    Whatever it was, I'm just letting her stay because of my mom. Nothing else!.    Twenty minutes later, i was dressed in suit for work. I walked into the kitchen in need of coffee, when i heard a voice humming. At first i was really startled cause its only me in my house and then it hit me, Virginity  seller. She turned around smiling as she mixed the batter.    “Good morning buyer”. She smiled. I nodded. “I was going to ask you what you wanted for breakfast, but you was in the shower”.    I turned myself coffee, “No thanks, ill have something on my way”. I said halfway out the door.    She was about to protest but i was already out the door. I heard her cuss rapidly in Spanish.    I waited as Nate rounded the car and opened my door for me carrying my briefcase. I entered the prestigious Milton Corporation. And was greeted by Staffs, not to be rude i nodded acknowledging them.     Being the CEO of this place was no doubt tiring. I'm used to it and so was everyone. But lately I've being feeling hopeless, easy to lose focus, wanting more. I don't know what more i could ask for but i needed it.   I got out of my personal elevator heading for my office, that was only me and my receptionist/PA.    Mrs Reeves greeted me handing me coffee, taking my bag and replacing it with files. I fell on my chair, burying my head in my arms when my intercom buzzed and i saw it was from the front desk.    “Sir, there's a miss Clayton, here to see you”.  BROOKE CLAYTON.  10:02㏂.   I was getting ready to throw the waffle batter away when the house phone started to ring. I picked hearing Mrs Milton's voice asking if Morgan ate to work and i yapped about her son’s rude behavior. She told me he wasn't going to eat anything  until lunch or even dinner so she made me get over here with breakfast, promising to increase our planned salary. And knowing the money freak i was, i rushed over here.   Twentieth floor, the receptionist said to me. I walked into the elevator to see everyone dressed corporate all except me but i fitted perfectly cause i was dressed comfortably. I held the box and bag of freshly baked scones and coffee with the jam and cream and the paper cup of latte in my hand.    Everyone got out at each floor except me, i was getting a weird stare from the last three people as they got off on the nineteenth floor.     As soon as I stepped out of the elevator I was instantly dragged by the wrist by someone. I raised my face to see a angry Morgan drag me into his office.    “What are you doing here?”. He asked whispering.    “Getting you breakfast. I dangled the take out bag of the bakery in his face. Your mom called”. I said whispering back.    “Why the hell are you whispering?”.   “Cause you're whispering”. I whispered back again..   “I told you i would get breakfast”. He said walking to his ergonomic chair. I sipped my latte.    “Your mom said you won't and that i should”. He just stared blindly at me until i put the bag and box down ready to leave when he said wait and did the most unthinkable thing.    He stood up walking to me. “You've got a little foam on your lips”. My hands danced around my lips but i kept missing it cause i didn't want to smear my lipstick.    He used the hem of his suit cleaning my upper lip. “There you go. I mouthed thank you.  Thanks for the food”. He said his upper lip wanting to form a smile.    “You're welcome. I said walking towards the door. Want anything for dinner?”.  He shook his head..    “Have fun!”. I said closing the door.  OMNISCIENT.   As she walked out, she let out a breath. Looking at her lips in the elevator steel. That was nice, she thought to herself.    Meanwhile Morgan was this close to throwing away the scones but he thought about the trouble she had gone to and smiled to himself. But he frowned when reality  kicked in when her realized..    His mom had put her up to it. She didn't really care.     •••●●●••• Don't forget to vote, comment and share.
