Later that day, Melia came across Lord Turnton in the park, having his car taken away.
She had decided to take time to explore more of Buile Hill, so after leaving Dirk's growing area, she walked down the path along the fence. It took her down to the sump, the round,
brick-lined pond near the far gate, but she had no idea it was in any way significant. She rounded the corner then, and headed back uphill with the old Pitch and Putt area on her left. The Conference Rooms came into view,
on her right, with the Manor House beyond. But on her left was another tree-lined roadway, leading up to a middle gate. This is where she found the Lord, under the trees.
