Chapter Three: Folk Tale Once upon a time, deep in the woods on top of old Buile Hill, there lived a poor woodcutter, his wife and two children. In many ways they were happy. The young boy and girl lived an idyllic life amongst the trees, playing with each other instead of going to school and watching their father work. But his life of cutting branches and creating charcoal was not enough to give the family the money they needed to survive. The woodcutter was ashamed to think that he could not support his family, and though he spent many sleepless nights lying awake, searching for ideas, he couldn't think of any way that he could improve his income and keep the family together.
