"I'm here to see the Mayor," the handsome young man said.
"My name is Marilyn," the pretty young woman told him. "I'm the Chair of ‘The Friends of the Manor House’, and we've organised this Open Day. As
soon as the Mayor arrives, I'll be happy to introduce you. Do you have a particular question for him, or is there anything I can help you with?"
"I am Lord Turnton," he replied. "My family gave this building to the people of Salford in the early years of the twentieth century, before the First World War. Now
I want it back. I want to know how soon the Mayor can arrange that."
Marilyn stood still, speechless and stunned.
