The next time Melia went up to Buile Hill she was surprised to bump into Dirk Forrest.
She didn't really know what she was expecting that day, but the sun was shining and there was no sign of the regular Salford showers. She just wondered what the Manor House would
look like when there was no one there, no crowds of eager supporters, no furious activities. She came down the path from the main road and was surprised to see Dirk coming up the other way, walking along beside the high hedge.
