Zane POV
After informing Dad about what I had asked Madison to do, about trying to leave a light on, if she could, he was going to let Alex know, and he would pass on any other information I had managed to glean from her. I am sure she did not even notice that I was gathering ideas about her area. I talked to Madison about my day and all the things I had seen. When I picked up her brief moment of fear and I wondered what had happened, it was so fleeting, and whatever was happening to her at that moment, she had blocked me fast, knowing I would not like it.
Trying not to show I had felt through the bond the sudden trickle of fear, I continued to chat away, thinking up different things to say, when what I really wanted was to know what was going on and then thought if I knew, I might lose
