I was back in the Night Blooms City, and having dinner with my father. Although he was recounting how things had been since I left, my attention was somewhere else.
My phone beeped on my lap and I glanced down at the screen. Ivan's name flashed on the display, and I felt glad that he had replied my message.
"Busy?" I had texted him. We hadn't seen each other since we arrived that morning.
"Never for you, love." His reply read, and I could already feel my cheeks heating up.
"Are you at home?" I texted back while trying my best to nod at my father as he talked.
"In a meeting. Missing me already?" His reply came almost immediately.
I felt a flutter in my chest as I typed out my response, my fingers flying across the keyboard.
"I can't stop thinking about you."
"Is that so?" I smile
