Having equipment on the battlefield but not knowing how to use it is tragic. It's like a starving person looking at a table full of delicious food but unable to eat—a painful experience. Our 15th Regiment experienced this firsthand. For example, many soldiers didn't know how to use the mortars, the thirty-odd mountain guns, and even our own grenade launchers that we captured from the Japanese armory.
I remember a few days ago, we suffered heavy losses in a mortar duel because of our unfamiliarity with the equipment. It should be said that our regiment's current equipment level is no worse than the Japanese army's, and we could easily surpass them if we wanted to. But clearly, a unit needs more than just equipment; it also needs skill and coordination.
