Having equipment on the battlefield but not knowing how to use it is tragic. It's like a starving person looking at a table full of delicious food but unable to eat—a painful experience. Our 15th Regiment experienced this firsthand. For example, many soldiers didn't know how to use the mortars, the thirty-odd mountain guns, and even our own grenade launchers that we captured from the Japanese armory.
