.....They're meant to get use to calling you Mrs Sullivan for a reason." "It just feels...." "Weird, i know. But you have to get use to it, for the purpose of your marriage. And you're not supposed to be receiving guests just yet." "It's my attorney, there's an important document i need to sign." She paused for a second, then said "Alright then." "Please excuse me." i said and left the table, i couldn't tell what grandma sullivan's deal was, couldn't receive guests yet? where was her grandson? "Good morning Mrs Sullivan." Mr George greeted immediately i arrived at the sitting room. "Please call me Audrey." "Alright Mrs Audrey." i gritted my teeth, forcing a smile on my face. "I brought the documents as requested." "Okay." i said, he handed them over to me with a pen, i took it and signed them, he gave me a copy before bidding goodbye. I would have easily gone to the court to do this, while was he suddenly treating me differently? I shrugged my shoulders and proceeded to my room, i had gotten want i wanted and soon i would set my plans in motion. But first i needed a change of wardrobe, so i needed to go shopping. Picking up my phone, i called Amy, there was no response, calling a few more times with no response still, i dropped a voice-mail. After i placed the file in a secure place, i walked out of my room and closed the door, when i turned around, i was startled by a young girl standing and staring right at me. "Hello." She said "Hi, you must be Aaliyah" "Yes, i am." "Well, nice to meet you." i said and was about to walk away. "Are you my new mommy?" "What?" i halted "You and my daddy are married right?" "Right." i furrowed my brows. "That makes you my new mommy." I was dumbfounded, i didn't know how to respond to this inquisitive little girl. "Aaliyah, I've been looking all over for you. Don't bother her, come on let's go to your room." A maid said, "I'm so sorry ma'am." she added. I stood rooted to the ground for ten seconds wondering, 'Is this what i'm going to put up with? New mommy? hell no!' I went to the library and continued what i was doing the previous day, reading. I was there for hours and when i got tired, i checked my phone, no word from Amy, i decided to go take a nap. Walking to my bed room, i got a glance of the little trouble downstairs at the dining table, eating. She raised her head to look up and i hid away, hurried to the bedroom and closed the door. "Is someone after you?" "Ah!" i screamed at the sudden voice in the room i thought would be empty. "You scared me." i said, mason was sitting on his bed with a laptop typing away, he didn't even look at me. "I asked, is someone after you?" "No." "Then why did you barge in like that? I could be butt naked." I scoffed, "No you won't, i'm right next door. And where do you think i go through to my room? The wall? Maybe i should have a separate room outside this room." He raised his head to gaze at me, was that smirk i see? "You know you can't do that?" "And why not?" "First of all, there are staffs in this house, i can't have them see you in a different room. Secondly, Aaliyah is a smart and curious girl, she asks a lot of questions." "Obviously." He squinted and then continued, "And lastly, Grandma Sullivan insisted you stay in the adjoined room if we ain't sharing a bed, it's beyond our control." he returned his gaze to his laptop. There was a knock on the door and the little chatterbox came in; "Daddy!" "Hey princess, you were sleeping when i came in. Have you had something to eat?" "Yes." "And your medications?" "Yes, Daddy where is she going?" the girl asked just as i was about to open the door to my room, trying to escape this. "Yes wife, where are you going?" mason asked, i clenched my fist and slowly turned to face them. "I...i was..um.." the little trouble was patiently waiting for an explanation and mason wasn't helping either. "Why are you here? You should be sleeping, reading or something." She blinked at me, then looked at her father, he stared at me and then turned to face her. "Sweetheart daddy wants to have a talk with his new wife, go play." "But everyone is working, no one wants to play with me." "Go to your playhouse downstairs, play with your dolls okay, i will join you soon." "Really?" "Really." "Okay daddy" she jumped out of the bed, "Bye..." she paused, unsure of what to call me. "Aunt Audrey." Mason said, she looked at me before running out with those tiny legs. Now it was just Mason and i in the room, i turned to go into my room but then he said; "I know you don't want to get attached to anyone here but you could at least pretend to care in front of my daughter." "We agreed no meddling in each other's affairs." "Please." he pleaded, mason sullivan pleaded with me, but why? "Anything for my daughter, i will do it. Just don't let her see this side of you, please." he did it again. "She's a chatterbox, what if i can't provide answers to all her questions?" "Whatever answer you cannot give, i will step in for you." he said, i sighed, this was a bad idea but 'The Mason Sullivan' was pleading with me, that was way more embarrassing than facing a six or seven year old. "Alright, but i have a condition." "What?" "Two conditions actually." i smirked "Don't push it." he warned, "Tell me." "I'll tell you when i'm certain."
