Chapter 32 Celestina's POV Even though I found out that Zen advice them already, my hope that he will allow me did not totally fall down. I do not know but I trust my charm a lot, especially with Zen. I feel like he will grant everything I requested. I have proven this already when I asked about seeing my dad. Even though I can see how much he does approve with it, he would still allow me to invite my dad. And I hope he will do the same this time. This will be the first time I will ask him to allow me to go out after how many days of being boxed in this mansion—but most likely inside my room because I only go out for a meal. "Thank you, Miss Viola. I will ask Zen's permission," I said and she smiles. "Yes, Miss Celestina. But please do it as soon as possible. We will be out tomorrow to buy all the things that you will be needing for your eighteenth birthday. You can go with us in doing grocery and shopping. Well, only if you want to," she says and I got excited like a friggin' kid. And I think that would be a great idea. I do not know if they will join me in attending a mass but I am sure they will wait for. "Sure. I will call him right away," I said and she nods. I immediately tell her that I need to leave so that I could call Zen now. And when I got back to my room, I pick up the telephone to call him. I get the small piece of paper where Zen's number on the castle was written. I started dialling the numbers until I hear it rings. And it took how many rings before he picks it up. "Hello?" I immediately utter just to see if he could recognize my voice. But I did not get any response from the other line and I think that he is thinking on who could this be. And I also think that I need to tell him already who is this. "Zen, this is Celestina," I tell him but it still took several seconds before I hear a sound on the other line. And that sound was just a clear throat. And I am pretty sure that wherever he is right now he is in a very quiet place because I cannot here anything from his background. And if did not clear his throat, I would not be able to hear anything. I could have thought that he drops the phone. "Yea, of course I know," he says, bored. And even though I could not see him, I could clearly imagine that he is rolling his eyes while saying those words. "How did you know? Have you recognized my voice?" I said in excitement. "No. But you are the only girl who knows the number here in my room. So that is given, it is you," he said and I pouted. But he said that I am the only girl and not the only one. So it only means that there is a boy who knew it too? "You and Neil are the only one I gave my number." I nodded as if he could see me. But I have this feeling that he knew I was nodding. "Okay, Zen." I heard him sigh before speaking again. "So what do you need? Why it took you how many days before calling?" he asks and there is something in his voice that I do not understand. "I have to tell you something," I said and another silence covers the other line and I know that he is now waiting for the thing I will tell him. "You know, Zen, I have been stuck here for how many days already. And I think I need to breathe fresh air," I said. "Is there no fresh air there?" he asks and I almost facepalm when he took what I said literally. "That mansion were surrounded with plants and trees," he adds and I thought he was just being sarcastic but then I found out that he was serious about it. "That was not what I meant, Zen. What I mean is I need to be out. I need to breathe from this suffocating mansion." I could not believe that I have said those words to him without shaking. I know I sound so demanding and I hope he would not mind. Zen did not answer and I do not know what he is thinking right now. I expect him to yell on me over the phone because of what I said. "I'm sure you know you only have a tiny chance to get me approved that," he says calmly and it shocks me. But my shoulders also down because with the tone he used to me, there is a big possibility that he might not allow me. "I know. But I still want to try," I said and another silence covers the other line. Until I heard him sigh again. "Okay, Celestina—" He still haven't finished his words yet hut I already had my reaction. And I cannot help myself but squeal because of the anticipation I am feeling right now. And yes, I know I heard him right. I know that he said yes. I back to not talking and let him finish whatever he is going to say. "Don't be too excited, Celestina. You will be having a very limited time to go out. I will call Neil to—" "Mr. Ramon can drive me, Zen. Mr. Ramon is one of the familiar here in the mansion," I said and I did not forget to tell him who is Ramon because he might not know him by his name. And he became silent again. But that was just for a couple of seconds because he speaks again. "Let me think about that one. You have to be with a vampire. I do not think a familiar can protect you." I can sense a finality in his tone and I know it would be hard for me to convince him in this part.
