The First Kiss With Him

    Wow. September went by fast... one week until my birthday? Already... I'm going to be 16. It's the weekend so I roll out of bed at 12, I'm not used to sleeping in this late. I go to the bathroom to get ready for the day. Yikes, I think to myself as I look in the mirror, I look like a hot mess. I check the group chat with the guys to see what they are up to. Casey, Luke, and Jay are in a Star War vs Star Trek debate. I decide not to join in the debate but reply to a "Good morning beautiful." text from Luke. I try to brush my hair but it's not going to well, it's so tangled. A shower might detangle this mess. I get undressed and hop in to the shower. The water feels so nice! I start to shampoo my hair, I think about this past month of school. it went by so quickly. I'm excited for my birthday. Before I go to Jay's family ranch with my boyfriend and friends I get to celebrate with my family. My sweet 16 is going to be perfect. 

I start to think about Austyn. I don't know why, but I think about him more then I care to admit to myself. I love Luke though... but why does Austyn cross my mind, almost everyday? Does he think about me? Mrs. Van told us that when I'm 16 we need to seal our bond? She didn't explain what it meant. We can't have a bond, I've got someone already. I think I keep telling myself this because I'm trying to convince myself. I do feel a pull to Austyn, a pull as strong as magnets to metal. I stopped ignoring it, whats the point? I guess I just want to see what happens? But what about Luke? I go deeper in to my thoughts and think about Austyn, and Luke more. I'm a Succubus? I have done my own research on it. Succubus: A female demon or supernatural being who feeds off the s****l energy of others. I have found out that the energy I consume helps me heal, boosted strength, I can cause others to have hallucinations, I can put people in to a hypnotic state, I can bend the will of others. At least I have Austyn to help me learn how to do some of this, and Mrs. Van. My thoughts are interrupted by a knock on the bathroom door. 

    Its my brother. "Mom says we are going out for lunch in 20 minutes. Do you want to come with?" I turn the shower off. I'm done anyway, I didn't realize it but I was just standing under the water. "Um. Yeah. I'll go." My brother just says okay then runs down the stairs. I dry off and use this 'Leave in' hair conditioning stuff my mom bought for me. My hair gets complicated. Normally when my hair dries its thick, wavy, but very frizzy if I don't put anything in my hair when its wet. It looks nice when its wavy but I prefer to straighten it. I don't have much time to dry and straighten it so I'll just leave it as is. I put on the jeans and shirt I brought in to the bathroom with me. These jeans look really good on me. I start to put on a little bit of shimmery gold toned eye shadow, then some mascara. I look up in the mirror. My long eyelashes make my eyes pop. The eye shadow brightens my eyes. My hair is starting to dry but I can already see some of the waves and curls forming. I look good.

     I look back at my phone and get a request for a video conference. I answer as I walk back to my bedroom. I have 10 minutes to spare, might as well pass the time. I set the phone down on my desk with the camera facing me. I see Austyn look at me, and smile. "Hey Mercedes. What are you doing?" It's so hard not to return his smile so I smile back, "Hey. Nothing just going to hang out with my family for a little bit. What about you." Aus sets his phone down like I do and goes to his closet. "Just got back from the gym. I showered and now I'm going to hang out with the guys. Was going to see if you wanted to come but never mind." He's only wearing Boxers, he looks nice, really nice. I try to look away but I feel my eyes turn blue, I've learned that when they turn blue they feel cold and tingly. He is facing away from me but his back muscles look delicious. He puts on a pair of black jeans and reaches to grab a pair of his shoes. Before I could stop it, a sigh comes out, with a soft moan. Why do I get like this with him? He's hot as hell. He throws a Navy blue T shirt over his shoulder and turns towards me. His eyes are blue now. He smiles as he walks back towards his phone. He leans towards the phone and bites his lip as he runs his hand through his perfect chestnut brown hair then says, "Like what you see Love?" I sit back and cross my arms. I really do like what I see but he doesn't need to know that. I want to return the favor, at least a little bit, so I look him deep in to his eyes. I raise an eyebrow while doing my signature sexy little pout then slightly lean forward revealing a little bit of cleavage. His mouth drops open as he sees my retaliation. It worked. I bite my bottom lip and smile as I answer his question, "Yeah, just as much as you like what you see." Aus shakes his head and says, "Can you hangout later? I was going to ask you yesterday but you and Luke left before last period." I shrug and say, "Sure. Where and when Aus?" He stops and thinks for a second then says, "Top of Buck hill? I can pick you up around 7 tonight?" I have hung out with him before so I agree. We talk a little more but we are interrupted by my mom who says its time to leave. I head down to go out with my family. 

    The day went by quickly with my family. Time flies when you're having fun! We ended up staying out for the whole day. I actually told my parents where I was going so I don't have to sneak out. Haha, I'm horrible sometimes! I like hanging out at Buck Hill. Its a skiing and snowboarding attraction during the winter but I know people go up there to hangout during the summer and stuff. I get home with my family and see that Aus is parked and waiting in his car. its 7:05, we made it, pretty much on time. I walk over to Aus as he gets out of his car. His eyes flash blue at me. I can feel mine return the quick flash. I get in front of him and he gives me a hug. My brother and sister are sitting in the garage looking at us as my parents walk to the bottom to meet and greet Austyn. I already told them that we are just friends, so hopefully this won't be too brutal. I casually lean against his car as he walks towards my parents. He confidently introduces himself. Shakes both of my parents hands and acts like himself. My dad and him start in on some random conversation as my mom looks around them at me me and smiles, she nods her head in approval. I walk up to my dad and Aus, they are so engrossed in their conversation and I wanted to go. I grab Aus's hand and give it a light squeeze. Austyn looks down at our hands then back at me then says, "Oh, sorry Mercedes. Well it was nice to meet you. We won't be too late." He said that to my parents as I was pulling him to his car. I felt excited. I wanted to spend time with him.

    Austyn and I get in the car and he turns to me and says, "Well they are really nice. Um, I gotta stop at the mall first. I got to get a few things then we'll go to Buck Hill." I nod, "I don't care where we go. I'm excited to hangout with you." I can't help but smile. He's so cute. Honestly, I melt when he looks at me with those deep brown eyes. His perfect face is complimented by his extraordinary jawline. He is muscular, yet so soft and smooth. I'm staring at him, s**t I have to stop before he sees me gawking. The mall is close to my house so we get there pretty quickly. We park and go inside. In my peripheral, I see Austyn staring at me. It's a good thing I put a little extra effort in to getting ready today. I see him smile his pretty boy smile. I feel myself start to blush so I slightly pick up my pace. He looks down as he bites his lower lip, oh my gosh. He's checking out my ass! I look over my shoulder and say, "Come on pretty boy. You can't stare all night." Austyn laughs and says, "I am so sorry but its hard not to stare. You stress me out lil lady." I stress HIM out. Okay... 

    We walk towards the middle of the mall. Austyn stops and says, "Want some Caribou? I'm getting some." He walks backwards a few steps as I nod. "Wait, do you know what I want?" I realized he didn't ask me what I wanted. He looks back and quickly says, "I got you baby girl." There is a line so I go up to Austyn and let him know that I'm going to go in to Victoria's Secret to wait then head to the store. I could actually use a couple more bras but I will just window shop today. Bra shopping is sort of weird to do with someone who isn't your boyfriend. I stay at the front of the store. I start to look around but Austyn walks in and looks at the lacy black and blue bra that I picked up. He raises an eyebrow and smiles, "That's hot. Here's your Coffee, Caramel Cooler with a shot of espresso." I put the bra down and ask, "How do you remember what I like?" We turn to leave the store as he replies, "All four of us went once, I heard Luke order for you." We stop at a few more stores then leave for Buck Hill. 

    We get to Buck Hill and we get to the top. Austyn sets out the blanket for us to sit on. We sit down and stop talking. We sit in silence as we stare at the view. I can see so much from up here. It's beautiful. I'm sitting comfortably, with my legs crossed in front of me. I feel Austyn looking at me again. I look back and feel a sense of comfort and peace. He is my Intended Other, I feel a little confused. Who decides who is meant to be? Why us? What about Luke... I can't fight all these feelings that I feel towards Austyn. I feel so conflicted, yet calm. Austyn puts his hand on my cheek, so softly. I feel my eyes turn blue as Austyn smiles and slowly leans in. I can't do this. I touch Austyn's hand, which is still on my face. He reacts with a sharp yet quiet inhale. I quickly lift myself to my feet and look down at Austyn. "I...I can't...I'm with Luke. What are you doing. You are his f*****g friend." I say to him with a hint of anger in my voice. I feel like the wind has been knocked out of me. I turn around and walk towards a small patch of trees. I was about to turn around and tell him that I was sorry, I felt bad, but before I could I felt his warm and muscular arms gently wrap around my waist from behind me. He slowly pulls me against him, my heart starts racing. He whispers in to my ear, "I need you. You are my Intended. Not his." He finishes that sentence by softly brushing his lips on my neck, right below my ear. From where his lips touched I felt an icy tingle. I have never felt that before. That icy feeling started moving throughout my body. What is this?

    I fight the feeling to submit to him and pull myself away. I make it to the small patch of trees and turn around to face him. He walked with me, but he stopped about 3 feet away from me. My body feels like Ice, but I don't feel cold. I stare at him and he stares at me. I can't fight it, its too strong. I feel an urge, its almost instinctual. This feeling is growing stronger as it overwhelms my thought process. I know hes going through the same thing because of the look on his face. Both of our eyes are glowing blue. I feel like I'm going to explode. I give up. I take a few quick steps to him. The second I am within his reach he grabs my face with both of his hands and pulls me in to a passionate kiss. Our lips crashing and colliding with each other. I feel myself absorbing his energy. I can taste his energy. It literally tastes like a very rich tasting french vanilla. We continue our kiss as he picks me up and walks towards the patch of trees. He pushes me in to the tree I was leaning against then sets me back down. I weave my fingers in to his perfect hair and gently pull. The taste of French Vanilla overwhelms me. We are both consumed by this kiss. He picks me up again and walks towards the blanket. How far is this going to go? Austyn breaks the kiss and lays me down. Hes laying on top of me and looking me, I feel like hes looking deep in to my soul. He lowers himself so hes closer to me and resumes our kiss. Our hands explore each other's bodies. I am almost wiling to let him go as far as he wants... 

    Right now, I feel like I need him, just as much as he needs me.
