Daisy enjoyed herself with Brad. While getting ready earlier, she"d worried that the ease they"d shared during childhood couldn"t be reclaimed or that too many years had passed without them speaking properly.
But that hadn"t been the case at all. Their dinner had been delicious, and the easy conversation between them had been even better. The flirting was almost too much for Daisy though. She"d always felt a connection to Brad, like there was something there that she knew couldn"t be. It may sound contradictory, even inside Daisy"s head, but she was destined for another shifter, or maybe even for some other kind of paranormal, but certainly not a human like Brad. It was one of things that had helped her decide that she needed to distance herself from him.
