Chapter 1

“Lilyyyy!!! You are going to be late for school”

A voice rang through the house of the bass family

I woke up with a start sluggishly rubbing my eyes,

“Coming mother; I replied as i got up from the bed and went into my bathroom I had my bath and stood in front of the mirror naked, staring right back at me was a beautiful woman with bright red hair, sleep deprived green eyes i got my green eyes from my father and a voluptuous body, “another day in hell;” I thought to myself I haven’t been getting enough sleep lately because every time I close my eyes I get nightmares about a man dressed in all back covered in blood attacking me I never really get to see what he looks like and the dreams are always the same I got dressed and went downstairs for breakfast.

“Ohh here she is; a voice said as i was walking down the stairs trying to fit my books into my bag

“Good morning dad;”. My dad was a handsome man in his mid forties and my mother who was sitting down on the dining chair already eating was a pretty woman with an air of arrogance around her in her mid thirties .

“ glad you could finally join us lily;” my mum said “ but unfortunately you are already late for school again.. so no time for breakfast as the school bus left already so you have to be on your way to school now”;

I was already use to this statement and treatment as I have never had breakfast at home in a very long time now, i and my mum have never really had much of a motherly and daughterly bond and my father have never been much of any help in the matter.

“Great! I guess I would just have to walk to school again ;” I mumbled to myself picked up a banana from the counter and walked out the door leaving both my parents eating breakfast at the dining room .

I walked outside closed the door behind me and started my journey to school

Learning is not something I enjoy, I don’t have any friends and I don’t really have much interactions with my family there is something creepy and dark about them especially my grandfather, he is always so silent and he stares a lot it’s his stare that gets me everytime, I shivered a little, I got to the gate of my school and walked in, students were loitering around with different cars parked around I put my head down and walked into the building .

“Well well well.. if it isn’t Lilly bass;” a voice called out

“ great. When I thought today couldn’t get worst” I thought to myself looking up into the smirking face of Damon Humphrey, my worst enemy and the devils incarnate and also my biggest secret crush.
