Surprisingly, I opened my eyes on my own bed, wrapped up in the comfortable duvet.
Was it all a dream?
I tried to get up and the pain shot up my back and my neck, causing me to recline into the bed again with a groan.
It was definitely not a dream. That owl woman nearly killed me.
The door opened slowly and my mum came into view.
Her eyes widened in shock as she saw that I was awake.
" Get the pack doctor Darius! She is awake!" She yelled into the hallway before rushing over to where I laid, her eyes filled with tear lines and hideous eye bags that showed Just how little sleep she had gotten in the past few days.
" Mum....you look tired" I pointed out, gently caressing her face.
She shook her head quickly.
" No no baby. This is all my fault. I could not even protect you
