I noticed its menacing eyes first before I heard the growl.
It has come at the perfect time, the perfect distraction from the brooch that laid in my pocket. But I could not figure out how to kill it, not a wolf that size.
It was near impossible to kill.
" Um ....Darius, what the hell should we do? It's coming closer!" Marigold whimpered backing up into a tree as she refused to meet the glare of the wolf.
I stared around quickly for whatever i could use as a Means of distraction. I did not plan to kill it, but I knew I could weaken it, and give us enough time to run.
" No one makes any sudden movement. Just calm down and trust me on this okay?" I asked gently, causing a few more whimpers to leave their mouth.
