Sean burst out of the ground outside the secret base of the Day Walkers. To his surprise, his lava did not melt the ice cube Sheila was trapped in. Not that he cared about her but it puzzled him only because that was the first time his lava failed to melt anything.
He thought for a moment with his hand on his chin before finally picking up the ice cube. He headed straight for Dr. Spencer's laboratory. When he arrived, he found him at his desk comparing notes. Sean roughly dropped the ice cube to the ground and startled Dr Spencer.
Not rising from his seat, Dr Spencer asked, "What happened?"
Sean sniffed and held his broken ribs. He offered himself a seat and ordered one of the lab assistants to bring him a glass of blood. He then felt the impatient eyes of Dr Spencer pierce through him
