Chapter 1: The Beginning Before the Spotlight

Lena Cruz didn’t remember a time when Noah Bennett wasn’t in her life.
They met in second grade when she tripped over her own shoelaces and dropped her lunch tray. Everyone laughed—except Noah. He picked up her apple, handed it back, and said, “You’re gonna be okay.”
That was it. That was the start.
After that they were inseparable, often hanging at the park, play dates every single day, spending late nights talking about their dreams in their toy walkie-talkies.
One night they both snuck out to hang at the park to lie in the grass looking up at the stars. Lena looked at Noah and spoke softly
“I’m gonna be famous one day, you’ll see.”
Noah turned his head to her smiling. He didn’t laugh, he was just smiling at how passionate she looked.
“Good,” he said. “Then I get to say I knew you first”
After that day, Lena felt something she was going to feel for the rest of her life…security.
As time passes Lena found herself being bullied by the kids for being attached to Noah, but Noah on the other hand…didn’t even care. He loved protecting Lena, by all means necessary.
Some days Lena would find herself starting at Noah a bit too hard, she would brush it off and think it’ll pass over a few days.
But days turned to weeks…
And weeks turned to months……
Next thing you know Lena found herself starting at Noah every single day, she didn’t know what it was, but to everyone else, it was perfectly clear.
Her childhood Crush…
Her very own best friend…
Lena didn’t seemed to care since she knew that she’d never tell him, But Noah on the other hand…
He felt no different…

With the blindness of not wanting to break the other’s heart….
Noah made a silent vow to protect Lena with his heart and soul to make sure nothing breaks her spirit to live up to her dream.
