Do you believe in luck? Do you believe in hard work? Or God? Or talismans? Belief is a funny thing; some things simply won’t work without belief, like a self-fulfilling prophecy. Others, like gravity or mortality, happen independently of your views. I never believed I would fall in love, lose a friend, or become a hero, but I did. Belief is like gravity, and gravity causes me to stay grounded or to fall. And like Ani DiFranco is going to demonstrate next, “Falling Is Like This.”
