We Gotta Get Out of This PlaceWe’ve all had experiences that we’ve wished to escape but couldn’t. Places or conversations that we were trapped in. Conrad, Dante, Kafka, and Umberto Eco all come to mind. Are these metaphors or a physical reality that the authors found themselves in?
Road trips are like certain conversations; they’ve become the new limbo. A place for lost souls to languish. A party that only plays ABBA or J. Geils. Muzak in an elevator.
