"Did you stop dwelling on your love for me? Have you taught your heart to forget about me?" Abigail prodded, looking up at him, expecting his reply. Richard matched her gaze and tried to read her expression. Was she asking because she half-expected him to say that he never stopped loving her? Maybe she wanted to know if she still had a chance with him. He could read Abigail like a book, maybe it was a gift. He could read her clearly when she tried to mask whatever she was feeling.
