Alice POV The morning light poured through the curtains like a lover tracing the edges of my skin, soft and bold all at once, golden warmth brushing places his hands had already memorized hours before the sun rose. His arm lay draped across my waist, fingers still curled around the curve of my hip like even in sleep, he wasn’t willing to let go of the peace we built between sheets instead of silence.
