River Red

Aaron The letters appeared to us in the night, after Bo and I’s intense mating session. We knew weeks ago from our talk before that aside from Queen Talia’s Kingdom Ambassadors her wife Queen Snow had called forth her own special force the Shadow League. It was a backup measure to Talia’s reform plan. Her mate’s pregnancy also caused a blind spot in what Talia foresaw. Snow began having strange dreams as an effect of her dormant Fairy blood coming to full power. Hence, the letters Bo and I both had been receiving. A mission within a mission. How were we supposed to keep our cool about what we had to do and keep it from Walden and Ria? After all the letters we received tonight left us in a state of worry. Ria was Bo’s best friend keeping something like this from her would weigh heavily on her. The Sapience Ruins was the original Sapience kingdom, but after the Red family took over to reign. They forbid anyone from going there. No one ever knew why, but the stories about that place would make anyone’s hair stand on end. One story in particular was that of The Huntsman. He didn’t used to be the way he was now, according to the letters. In fact, he stood on the Night Wolves' side alongside my father King Daxon. He was the only son of Redella Red which was a secret kept by her and the king and after his marriage my mother Hannah. This alone shocked Bo and I, we had met Granny Red twice by chance when we were teenagers. Now, when I thought about how we met her on those two occasions, it may not have been by chance at all. The Huntsman’s true name was River Red. Just like his mother, he displayed extraordinary foresight at a young age, however when his other abilities emerged something even darker presented itself. Causing an uncontrollable bloodlust and mental madness. His mind temporarily lapsed into two worlds, unable to free himself for a time countless fatalities would ensue until his mind righted again. This would depend on how much he would see in his foresight. Redella, unable to bear her son's demise asked for help from the only person she could trust, my father King Daxon. This set forth in motion many events that even Redella couldn’t foresee at the time. Back then my father wasn’t sworn in yet as king, he was a Prince with his two best friends River who was training to be a knight, and Dillon the beta of the Night Wolves Regime. Daxon and Dillon never knew River was Redella’s son until that day. My father had become King when he was 18. Usually, the age to be sworn in was 21. However, special circumstances allowed him to take over his reign as king. The people assumed it was because the old King decided early retirement and wanted to travel the realms with his Queen as he had promised her as a gift for giving birth to an amazingly capable son Daxon and all her hard work in the building of their kingdom. No one knew that this was far from the truth. In his manic bloodlust River incidentally killed Daxon’s father, my grandfather King Hue( Pan) Night Wolf. In Hue’s attempt to help River’s condition with Redella, my grandfather took the hit for his son, in doing so causing an unexpected outcome other than his unfortunate death. Queen Bella (Tink) Night Wolf, my grandmother was of Fairy blood. With the help of Redella, they kept the King's death under wraps coming up with the story of his retirement. It was discovered that River was a hybrid. Of both Seer and wolf blood. The two could not exist as one without a counterpart. In better words, a healer. To make things even more strange, King Hue’s blood immobilized River but also made him completely controllable. He could not resist any command given by a Royal Blood Night Wolf. A secret that was kept by My grandmother, Daxon, Dillon, River, and Redella. To keep his best friend safe from enemies, they all agreed that River should go into hiding. Instead, River chose to become The Red Huntsman, training many men and women who were like him of mixed species that could use their wolf abilities but could not shift. He created the Hunters who pledged their lives to Sapience Kingdom and King Daxon. River could never in any lifetime repay what he had indirectly taken from his best friend. Losing control of one's self was something he didn’t want anyone to experience. Who would have thought that years later, Sapience Kingdom would fall? At the age of 21 on a routine perimeter check, River and Dillon would rescue two women from a scavenger attack. One woman they knew well and worked with River’s mother sometimes was Audrey and the other was supposedly a slave girl her name was Rose. My thoughts couldn’t help hanging on to the point of the scavenger attack. I knew Bo’s mother, Audrey, she wasn’t the pushover type. She could hold her own as well as the rest of the Night Wolves alongside Dillon her husband and mate. The letter was clearly pointing out that something about how these four met was off. Especially with the mention of Rose. Was this the same Rose that aided Christine, Betrayed Talia, and Faked being Walden’s mother? Or was there another plot behind what we thought we already knew?
