Hannah
It was finally time for me to leave. The contract between Sila and I had been nil and void at the announcement of his death. My attachment to Snow and later to Talia kept me posted as they both needed my protection behind the scenes. However, King Sila had always been smart and clever. He had confirmed my identity after witnessing my fighting ability with the Night Wolves when Snow was attacked again when she was five years old. It had taken years to get myself back together after everything I endured back then. I still couldn’t shake the sound of my babies' cries on that night.
I wanted to tell someone my suspicions. In fact, I told my husband Daxon, but who could I trust when he didn’t even believe me? Outcast by my own family, the only person I had left was Delia. Since Delia had her own life and family arriving soon, I didn’t want to bother her, but fate had other plans the minute Christine resurfaced.
The letters I held in my hand, proved everything I suspected. My sister Christine had done so much to discredit me and tear down my husband's kingdom. For the sake of the prophecy not coming to pass and her being stuck in a mediocre life. She hurt and deceived the people who loved her the most in this realm.
What good would the truth now do? Three kingdoms were now destroyed, if not more, under Christine’s tyranny. My children were out there somewhere in between the Forbidden Forest, The Dark Woods, and the Outskirts. My husband was also alive. I had no clue how he had been all this time. Would he still recognize me with this new face? Would he believe it? now that the truth was revealed and everything we thought to be true was just an illusion. Even the abuse.
Delia had also left a private letter for me that I had yet to read. The spell she had cast over Christine was quite powerful even in her weakened state. Christine’s deeds that affected me contained many things other than poisoning my husband and me, and then stealing our children. My husband was certain that the two dead babies were ours back then. There was something that always bothered me about that very fact.
Marcia, Delia, and I had discovered that Christine had accomplices. One of them was Rose, the very woman who hurt and betrayed Talia back then. The second accomplice was a Night Wolf, but that was all the spell could see. There was no other information on who he could be other than he was the father of Christine's babies. She had swapped them for mine, but I couldn’t help feeling there was more to it than things appeared.
The real Nanny Beth had been a spy for Christine, she had set a trap to kill Snow, who was just a child back then. Fate, however, intervened and I was able to save Snow instantly, putting her under my protection. To find out more about what Christine was up to, I took over Nanny Beth’s identity with the help of stealing her memories. Who would have thought that hiding in Snow’s kingdom would indirectly lead me to Talia?
The day Snow spent Lost in the woods. Silas had discovered my identity. After telling my story to him and The Seven, a plan was soon formed. It was time for Hannah to disappear, but before I could do that, there was something I needed to do for my late sister Delia. Finding Talia upon her early awakening was the best gift I ever knew I needed. We healed each other from the pain and sorrow we had both suffered.
Silas’s plan had worked. They had come sooner than predicted, but the outcome was the same. Christine would never have let me off knowing that I was still alive and could derail her plans at any moment. Faking my death was the only answer. I long felt that my powers were a burden and didn’t mind transferring them to Talia, my niece.
Out of all of us who had suffered at the hands of my sister, she had definitely suffered the most. To say Talia was strong was an understatement, she was phenomenal. Just like her mother Delia, they had a strong sense of justice and would fight for the weak. Who knew that in the process Mother Earth would gift me a new gift from a witch into a Sphere? I never thought being a warrior was in me, but protecting Snow and Talia, I birthed a whole new me.
Now, I was the new Nanny Beth and on a mission to find, heal, and reunite my family. Sapience Kingdom needed us more than ever now. There still was a threat out there from the rogue Night Wolf who helped Christine. It didn’t sit well with me the amount of information he could gather about us to use. There was only one way a person could have access to the forbidden spells.
Going back to my home, the ruined first kingdom gave me chills, but it was the only way I could confirm my hunch. Not many knew of the Badlands inside the Forbidden Forest. Inside the Badlands was the original First Kingdom, my home. With Christine’s death, her hold over its roots finally untangled and small signs of healing had begun.
Although this was a good sign, I knew things could easily backfire. This tethering was another forbidden spell. This spell also shielded the other person, who I believed without a doubt was Christine's most dangerous accomplice, the unknown Night Wolf.
If my hunch proved correct, it meant this war was far from over. I had a feeling that this was exactly why Queen Talia and Queen Snow sanctioned a new era of section leaders known as the Kingdom Ambassadors.
An old friend came to mind, bringing a smile to my face. I hadn’t visited Marcia for some time. She would love to know that not only were her sons each a ruler in the sectioned lands within the Forbidden Forest and the Dark Woods, but Ben and Gill would be sworn in as kings and her other five sons would be ambassadors tasked to uphold and unite peace with the remaining eleven kingdoms throughout the realms.
I had a feeling that all our unanswered questions would find their answers in their journeys. However, for me, I had to get myself ready. The first step was my old home on the outskirts that Talia and I had once lived in. I never thought there would come a day that I would have to use them, but the use of the Forbidden Time Spell gave me no choice.
