I sat in front of the mirror, looking at myself, dressed up as a bride. My make-up looked perfect, my dress was perfect, in fact Laura had made sure that each and everything was absolutely perfect. But for some reason, I couldn't help but feel uneasy.
My stomach was filled with butterflies as I took deep breaths to calm myself down. And soon there was a knock on the door.
"Eva, honey? It's time to go," Mom said from outside.
"Yeah Mom, I'm ready," I replied, and stood up from my chair.
Mom entered the room and gasped as soon as she looked at me.
"Oh my God, you look so beautiful," she said, her eyes shining with unshed tears. I hugged her immediately.
"Don't cry Mom, your mascara will run," I chuckled.
"I won't," she replied, chuckling.
