I sat there paralyzed, feeling conflicted. Lars looked at me and I shifted my gaze away. Tears threatened to flow from my eyes by the thought of my family being in the same place where I was. I had missed them like crazy, but I wasn't sure if Lars would let me go to them. And I couldn't just stand up and run, Lars had saved my life, he had taken a bullet for me.
"Angel, don't you have anything to say?" Lars asked, frowning. I simply stared at him, blinking, trying to hold the tears in. He studied my face for a minute, and then sighed.
