I think I finally realized where I am

The person that I just talk to, still haven't given me his answers. While he's thinking, I was able to take a look at what he's wearing. He was wearing a toga, something that the ancient greek people would wear. Then suddenly a flash appeared in my head, I actually remember seeing it during a toga party but I can't remember where. And it looks like someone once told me about it, but who? And still, that's… Impossible right? I'm pretty sure people these days don't wear them anymore. Unless… "So kid, you have amnesia and you're stuck?" He spoke. "Oh, yes. That's about right." I replied sheepishly. "Well… I suppose since you don't look like a bad guy, I guess I can help you." "REALLY?!" I screamed. "Yeah sure, I'll help however I can." He smiled. Man, thank goodness he wants to help me. I thought for sure he would say no, but I'm glad he was willing to help me; a total stranger who just crash landed on to his cart. He really is a nice guy. "So, what do you want to do now?" "Uh, I'm actually thinking of going to a nearby city. To look for help." "A nearby city huh? Well then, what a coincidence. I'm heading straight to Athens, the biggest city in all of Greece. Maybe there, you can find some help." "Wait… Did you say Greece?" I ask in disbelief and he nodded. No way! Greece?! The Mediterranean country? That Greece?! How did I ended so far away from home? Oh gods, this is terrible on so many levels. There was just so many questions in my head, but I couldn't get any answers. Still, if this is Greece; then why is everything different? Where's the bustling city, the roads, and tourists? And why is this guy still wearing a toga? I need a lot of confirmation before I jump to conclusions. "Uh sir, I didn't get your name?" "It's Dimitrios." "Right, Mr Dimitrios. If this is Greece then, why are you going to Athens on a cart? Why not a car?" "A car? What's that?" "Uh… You know, a car. A vehicle with four wheels and can drive really fast." "Huh… Oh, you must mean a chariot. Well now, I'm sorry but pheasants like me can't own something that fancy. Only warriors and rulers can have those." A chariot, really? And what does he mean by warriors and rulers, is Greece still ruled by rulers? At first I thought he must be joking but judging by his confuse expression, I concluded he's not. This is crazy, a person still wearing a toga, still riding a cart, and doesn't know what a car is. Only ancient people doesn't know that kinda stuff… Unless… I'm going to trust my instinct, but I think I maybe in Greece but in a different time. I know, it's crazy but I need to see the place myself before I am 100% certain for sure. "Excuse me, Mr Dimitrios. Can we get to the city soon? I really wanted to see it." "Relax kid, you're not the only one. Everyone wants to visit Athens, the city where the gods decide it's fate. We'll be there soon, I promise." After that little bit of weird talk, we continued our journey to Athens. I decided to stay at the haystack because man... This haystack is nice, it's also what save me from my fall; I decided to stay there for a little while. As we drive along the way, I decided to ask Mr Dimitrios more about his life and also tell him my name. He said he's from Thebes and he lived with his wife and two sons, he sells pottery where he takes it to other city to earn drachmae (which is money here). And now he's heading straight to Athens to sell it there, and he took the mountain route because he says those are fastest roads he can take when going to other cities in Greece. That's pretty amazing, you gotta admit. He's going all the way from afar just to sell his pottery, for his family. Kinda makes me wish I can remember mine, I'm starting to miss them even if I don't remember them. ____________________________________________ After 5 hours, we finally made it to Athens. We stop at the front of the city's entrance and I couldn't help but be amazed, and... My fear was right. This is Greece, but in a different timeline. The entire city look super ancient like literally, on the inside I can see the buildings are all made out of marbles and stones and I can see a huge golden statue of a woman dominating this place wearing armors from head to toe. And everyone is wearing togas, unbelievable. I guess I was right, somehow I time travel all the way to ancient Greece. Or... I must be having a crazy dream, but just to be sure - I pinch my face to see if I'm dreaming but no. It hurts so bad I finally realised, "This isn't a dream." "Well, this is our stop. What will you do from here on out?" "Uh... I don't know, but maybe... I'll explore the city." "Really? This is your first time here, do you want me to help you?" He offered. "Oh no, I couldn't possibly bothered you anymore. Not after everything you done for me, I think I'll be fine on my own." I try to convince him. "Oh, okay. If you say so, well in that case I better go straight to the market then. Good luck kid on finding whatever it is your searching for." "Thanks sir." I thanked him as I got off of his cart. I waved him goodbye as he enter the city with his cart, and now I'm all alone. "Okay, so. Let's explore this ancient city shall we." I took a deep breath before I enter the city. It is so unreal, I'm in ancient Greece. How? Why? And you know what, time travel does makes sense. That will explain why I was there in that abandoned temple, I must have landed there. And maybe, that's the reason why I have amnesia. I should have known, then again I did tried to convince myself time travelling is impossible so yeah... I should have known. You all probably wondering I'm taking this whole time travelling thing pretty well, and that I should panic instead. Well, panicking won't get me anywhere and it's true I should panic. But... The more I keep saying time travel, it makes me feel like I'm suppose to be doing something. Something really important, yeah... It's coming to me - or not. Maybe I should focus on how to get back first before I think about my memories. If I time travel then there must be a portal that can take me back, okay. First things first, find that portal wherever it is. I'll start with the city, maybe it's in there. I walked towards to what looks like a gateway, and enters the city. The city was quite bustling, just like any normal city. And the huge golden statue that I just saw just become more visible, it was even bigger than I thought when I look at it closer. It looks like, a statue of a really important figure. I mean, it has to be right? "Ah... Are you interested in the statue of the goddess?" Someone asked out of nowhere. I got startled and saw a man standing beside me, he was old and he had a grey beard and he was wearing a green toga. He looked at me with a gleaming smile, and I just smiled awkwardly back. "Uh... Sort of..." "Well now, I can tell by your face that this is your first time here in Athens. Aye?" "Uh... Yeah, how did you know?" "Because you have the face of a traveler and you have quite the unusual clothing, unlike anything I ever seen." He pointed to my outfit. I realise that I what I'm wearing might have been weird to everyone here, it's kinda amazing that Mr Dimitros didn't make a remark on it. I was wearing a white jacket with blue accent decorated with a straight zipper with a lightning emblem in it, and a long blue jeans with some comfy blue sneakers. Man, talk about blue all the way. I didn't know what to say, I couldn't possibly tell him I came from the future. He'll think I'm crazy, I might as well make up something so he won't freak him out. And maybe befriend him, because to be perfectly honest. I really do need help. "I'm Bolt, Bolt Olympia. I come from... Far away, and I am a traveler. You could say a lost traveler with nowhere to go and no idea either, I somehow got stranded here and I'm trying to find someone who can help me... Navigate this place. And maybe tell me more about Greece." I hoped. "Ah... So I was right, but a lost traveler? That's something, maybe the gods have guide you here. And maybe, I might be able to help you."
