Alex's POV: Sonia paced the length of the room, her steps a restless rhythm against the old wooden floor. Every creak of the boards beneath her feet echoed loudly in the tense silence between us. I leaned against the large oak desk at the center of her study, my arms crossed, my patience fraying with each passing second. The irritation mounted in my chest as she kept moving, the constant action grinding on my already raw nerves. "Would you stop moving for one damn second?" I snapped, and my voice was like a razor cut to the quiet. "I cannot think straight with you pacing around like that." Soniya did not bat an eyelid.
