Sonia's POV:
My lids were heavy, not having a wink of sleep. All through the night, my thoughts wandered from the vulgar actions of Alex to the rash decisions of my uncle.
He deserved whatever Alex threw at him but that wasn't also the best way to handle it. It wasn't easy convincing Alex to accept the offer to be his beta, that was the only way to join the pack.
There were only two possible persons that could have helped him become the Alpha, Laura and my uncle. Laura had mysteriously found her mate and my uncle was greedy enough to want the position.
Exposing Alex to this bitter truth was the only way I could change his mind to cooperate with me.
