In the morrow, the elders gathered at their meeting spot with grumbling morning faces. The chief elder rose with his long garment stitched with pride and ego.
"Thank you elders for coming on such short notice. I also appreciate the presence of the beta and the omega. As you all know, we expect a new Alpha tonight."
"There will be no wedding tonight." Beta Julian stood up and interrupted the seemingly meaningful speech of the chief elder. "Tonight is not a full moon so why should there be a wedding? Not just any wedding, a sacred wedding."
"I agree, the rituals and the union will not be accepted by the moon goddess." A random elder on the right seconded the Beta's notion.
