Laura's POV:
I looked around me and all I could see was water breathe I couldn't breathe. I tried to swim as the rays of a bright light which sunk deep into the ocean gave me hope.
There was an invisible obstacle beneath my feet that kept dragging me down each time I tried to swim.
Abruptly, I felt a taste in my mouth, like metal, thick and velvety. Afterward, I realized I could breathe in the water with ease, no gasping or choking.
The obstacle, whatever it was, disappeared, and I swam easily to the surface.
The bright light was the moon goddess, floating above the waters in her radiance. "You have tasted blood, but not deliberately, that was the only way to save you." She said in a solemn tone.
