Elder Philip’s POV My time for pleasure was over. It was time to get back to business. Wherever they were hiding, I would find them. I considered setting the entire place ablaze—burn it all to the ground and let vengeance paint the ashes. But that was never part of the plan, and if life had taught me anything, it was to stick to the original course unless absolutely necessary. I roamed the house again, corner to corner. Still, no sign of them. They weren’t here. That didn’t make sense. I hadn’t seen them leave, and one of the servants had assured me they were still around.
