Third POV:
Laura was not willing to play pretend any longer, it was time to fight for her freedom. Her knowledge on the reason for her parent's death had given her the courage she needed to face her adversaries.
She had survived another night without making Maxwell suspicious of her desire for blood. It was the third day and arrangements had been made with her uncle.
Before the first c**k crow, trained werewolves set out to the land of the Black pearl pack, following the lead of Laura and the Alpha. They had to get there before midnight so they rode at a frantic pace.
After long hours of riding, they stopped at a stream to take a break and grazed their horses. They took out packed food in a small bag which they all carried, ate and drank water from the stream.
