Chapter Forty-eight
By the time the sun rose fully, I was ready to collapse. All of the muscles in my body were aching, even ones I wasn’t aware could ache. I fought the urge to collapse on the ground and just kept going. The pack warriors were training in the distance and I’d decided to follow their moves and exercises since I was done with mine hours ago but wasn’t interested in stopping. They began training with punching bags and I was happy I’d made Dev install one for me.
“Whatever the bag did to you, I’m sure it’s very sorry” Louis said. But my mind didn’t register his voice or the hum in my body at his closeness. All it felt was alarm and fear at being surprised. I turned around swiftly and threw a punch at the intruder.
