Chapter Forty-nine When I woke up, I thought I might be in heaven. Because never in my life had I slept so peacefully. I didn’t know how long I’d been asleep but I was actually tired of sleeping. Regardless, I didn’t want to get up. I just snuggled into the warmth beside me and smiled. And then I frowned. A couple things cued me in that something was wrong. The first was that this bed was much softer than my bed. The second was that I didn’t at all remember going home and getting into bed. But I think the main one has to be the fact that something beside me, the same thing I was snuggling into, was moving. It was breathing. It was alive. “If you tense any more the bones in your body will start snapping” a gruff voice whispered. My eyes widened and I began frantically trying to get away
