Chapter Fifty
I told Louis the contents of the letter I wrote to Xavier. He stood dumbfounded for a minute before he started lecturing me on how reckless it was to challenge such a crazy person. And then he told me that I could stay with him to make sure that Xavier concentrated his efforts there and not on my house where my family was. I wanted to refuse but to be honest, I had nowhere else to go. I had thought of my friends’ houses but that would just put them in trouble. I knew they could handle themselves much better than my brother could but Xavier was an alpha. He would still be able to beat them.
