As he stepped forward onto the front step of the pack house Marcus looked at the massive crowd of people waiting to hear why they were called to this meeting. He felt a deep level of pride at those that stood in front of him. As he walked past the pack members lowered their heads and exposed their necks in submission. When he reached the front, he looked back at Beta Jackson who stood in the doorway with Marcia waiting to start the announcement.
In such a short time this human woman had taken his heart, and judging by her interactions with others in the pack, he was not the only one to feel this way. She had shown respect and love for all those she had met, quickly filling the role of Luna, even though she had yet to take the title.
