Serina Pov

When Jessica told Lizzy to leave I had a bad feeling but I really wanted to brush it off. Sadly I knew that wasn’t something I could do. I watched her take a deep breath like what she is about to say will take a lot out of her and I really didn’t like that.

Before I could say something she kissed me and sparks flew everywhere and it took me by surprise and I wanted to kiss her back but it was so short yet so sweet I almost thought it didn’t happen.

‘Mate kissed us first!’ Anna said in a sing-song voice and honestly I felt so surprised yet happy I didn’t say a thing, but one look in her eyes and I could tell that I didn’t need to say anything. Jessica was beat red, as if she didn’t think she would do it either. The blush quickly faded, her small smile with it.

“So we need to talk but Trixie wouldn’t let me unless I gave you a kiss first not that I minded, I hope you didn’t.” She said a little confidence was lost, I guessed the fear I didn’t like but I quickly told her I loved it. She blushed to that before coughing. Her blush is adorable. Having to tease her about that later my wolf reminded me to which I smiled.

“We can’t tell anyone else we are mates.” Jessica looked down while saying that and it broke my heart.

‘Mate wants us?’ confusion laced into my wolf’s voice and honestly I was just as confused, why say you are mine and I am yours if you don’t want me. I thought in my head before saying out loud as well.

Jessica’s head snapped up and she was violently shaking her head no but said no words for what felt like hours but what was maybe a minute at most.

“M-my parents don’t know i-i’m you know and y-you’re practically an alpha of all alphas. It won’t look good on you to be with me. I’m not ready to t-tell my family as well. What if they don’t like it and don’t want me around anymore.” Her tears fell down her face as she said that and hiccupped through her words. My wolf felt relief for a split second because this isn’t a rejection but at the same time felt so worried and upset that our mate felt this way.

“My love look at me.” I said while tilting her head back up. She looked at me and yet again my heart broke for my mate.

“Your parents should accept you for who you are and who you love, it isn’t a choice and even if it was I would choose you over and over again, we may not know each other a lot at this point but I do know that you are so much more than you could ever think. That and I care for you, I care to the point where it hurts to even imagine you hurt.” I said hoping she understood how sincere I felt about her.

She gave me a sad smile but I knew she understood that I meant every word I said.

‘Ask mate what she wants to do then?’ Anna suggested and I told her that was a good idea though her ego bust wasn’t needed.

“So what do you want to do then? I will not let you go mate, you can bet on that.” I said giving her a slight mischievous smile but I did want to know what she had in mind cause I don’t know how I'd' attempt to avoid her with the bond being surprisingly so strong already.

Jessica pov.

What do I want to do? WHAT DID I WANT TO DO? I asked myself to which my wolf scoffed. When I told Serina how I felt about telling my parents or others she was beyond livid at me for wanting to hide our mate from others. She was super happy and proud of her mate for all that she has accomplished, not that she said anything much about it before we found out we were mates.

‘I thought it was impressive earlier!’ trying to defend herself even though it was pointless cause I knew the truth.

‘Not as much as now, I gushed every time I thought of her for the last three years, you didn’t even bat more than an eye at all she has done.’ Knowing she was defeated Trixie resorted to silence.

I looked at Serina and thought for a second. There is no way we can completely avoid each other, not that I wanted to avoid my mate but at the same time I’m not ready to tell my family.

“How long are you going to be here?” I asked her and was trying to think of some solution.

“I’m not leaving you here without me if that’s what you are asking.” Seriana said a little upset that she thinks I thought for a second I wouldn’t be going back to her home with her. That thought made me blush yet again.

“I meant originally how long did you plan on staying before you met me.” I said finally deciding to get back in her lap to which she happily obliged while thinking. She started drawing circles along my arm, maybe to help her think or to help her stay calm.

“I believe it was for either a week or two long enough to observe, why what is your pretty little head thinking?” She said, giving me a wink.

‘Didn’t think she would be this flirty hu?’ I blocked my wolf out trying to think before something popped in my head.

“Well I am the Quaesitum wolf right? You could say when we go out in private that you are training me not that I don’t actually need that. We can sometimes be together in public and I would be your guide?” I said, hoping she liked my semi-well made plan. Almost as an answer she gave me a huge smile..

“Good idea, however it’s getting late my love and I need to get you back home.” Serina said and almost as if she heard us say we have to go Lizzy popped back here with a grin on her face.

“Good to know y'all are ready to go because some good news happened at the house and everyone is waiting on you both.” I was confused but got up and instead of holding my waist like she did on the way here she held my hand till we got to the wheat field where against her will she dropped it so no one saw. I hated letting her hand go if not as much more than she did. Not that I think it was a competition or anything for who hated it more. Instead our hands swayed by the other one’s sometimes touching gently.

Jake pov

When my sister ran off with what I couldn’t believe was Alpha Serina chasing after her I smelt her, my mate almost making me forget I was worried for my sister at all. I turned to my right where she and a guy entered the property. She looked a year at most younger than me and I’m twenty one. She had a huge grin on her face and I recognised her, She was Gamma Lily, the third in command for the Blue Amethyst pack. Though that was kinda like the main pack that followed Alpha Serina.

I stopped thinking about that when she gave me a hug not realising that she had gotten so close so fast.

“Hello my dear mate? Lily and you are who?” She didn’t say it in a cocky way like I was supposed to know who she was but more in a way of a simple greeting.

I saw my Alpha leave seeing as it was handled for the most part my sister was- a howl rang through the territory before I could even finish what I was sayings and before I realised it everyone had for a split second lent their head to the side in submission till the howl finished deeply confusing me but Lily had a smile on her face.

“Is that your sister? The one my alpha chased after?” Lily asked, almost forgetting I never said my name.

“Yeah that’s Jessica, I don’t know what happened to her. I hope she’s okay with Serina, she’s almost obsessed with her at this point. Oh I forgot to say my name. It’s Jack.” I said my worry to my sister once more before hearing Lily’s melochodious laugh.

“She’s fine maybe freaked learning what she is but she’s fine.” I was confused and about to ask when I saw Miss Heather heading our way my mom instantly smiled and ran to her who gave her a huge hug. Those two have been friends for decades now.

“Hello Stephenson family plus esteemed guest, let us head inside and talk about Jessica shall we?” Something about that made me more worried then when I heard Jessica screaming only minutes ago.

We headed inside and mom and dad made coffee or hot chocolate for everyone my mate and who I learned to be Beta Luckas got the hot chocolates and I was a bit jealous that they matched in drinks and he sat on her left while I was in her right but she put my hand on her thigh and with my fingers started drawing circles till I got the point and did it on my own it calmed me down more than I thought possible but also made a small smile graced her lips, making a bigger one appear on mine.

I didn’t realise Heather started talking till my mate gave me a questioning look, she caught me zoned out and told me in our mindlink of the prophecy that Heather just told her then I zoned back into the conversation.

“Because my coven has learned that this is the place where bloodshed will end and harmony will make it’s start we came here and when I became eighteen and had a dream of the goddess telling me that I should have a child I knew that everything was becoming all the more real. When I was twenty three I got the procedure to have a child not knowing my dear friend Anabeth was also due with her second child, Jessica making me realised something else was fated that no one else appeared to see in the prophecy, what looked like one Quaesitum wolf was not just her and the mate but that they wore a bracelet one that me and Anabeth had passed down to our daughters.The bracelet of friendship. That made me think what could my daughter and yours have to do with this till it clicked. Your daughter had to be the Quaesitum wolf and that suspicion was confirmed by tonight and what my child’s fate is. However she does not know what is to come and I hope to keep it that way as long as possible. So I hope for her sake you all try to keep her as far away from that battle as possible. I do not want fate to take my daughter away so soon she truly is the purest person to exist.” She was crying at the end and everyone decided to make her a promise, Lizzy will not know as long as possible.

Very soon after she finished crying Lizzy came in making my parents and I go rigid. She told us that Jessica was safe and that Alpha Serina told her to come back and let us know while she attempted to calm her cause my sister was freaking out. I almost got up but Heather used magik to make me sit down again.

“Thank you darling now please get a cup of hot chocolate and be on your way to retrieve them. We have news for them or well those two do.” She said pointing my way it was a good distraction as seeing as the moment mates are talked about Lizzy goes all gushy.

She got some hot chocolate as her mother suggested and Lily and I told her about us because she refused to leave before hearing ‘the tea’ as she called it.

Lily was more than happy to tell others about me and I the same. It was about 15 minutes before she left but she did with a huge grin.
